My Why

Hey Fellow Adventurers!

I'm thrilled to share my journey into the exciting world of RV living and how it all began with a YouTube video that changed my life in 2018. It featured a courageous woman who ditched her corporate gig to travel in a custom van, and boy, was I intrigued! That video opened the door to the magical realm of van life and a community of people who valued experiences over material possessions. The allure of connecting with nature, finding freedom, and embarking on thrilling adventures was too irresistible to ignore.

Now, I won't lie - I had stars in my eyes, picturing myself in a tricked-out van roaming the countryside. But, as I delved deeper, I realized that the practical side of van life might not be a perfect fit for me. Insurance hassles cropped up, and that sent me on a quest for another way to chase my dreams.

Enter the world of RVs - a dazzling array of options to pick from! Class A, Class B, Class C, and towables were all vying for my attention. But being a newbie, I quickly ruled out Class A, feeling it might be a bit too much to handle. And towables required a helping hand, which didn't jive with my vision of independence.

That's when I zeroed in on Class C RVs, and the 2018 Minnie Winnie by Winnebago captured my heart and wallet!

My Minnie Winnie journey was a valuable learning experience, but after two years, I felt something amiss. Anxiety and white-knuckle moments on the road made me realize I needed a change.

So, I set my sights on a new RV crush - the Winnebago Travato, a nifty Class B motorhome. It offered a stealthier profile, easier driving, and better gas mileage, saving me those precious dollars for more thrilling adventures.

Yet, my decision to embrace the RV lifestyle goes beyond the practicalities. There's an insatiable wanderlust deep within me, accustomed to constantly changing residences, seeking fresh experiences, and new environments. Initially, I thought settling down in a home would quench that thirst, with RV trips sprinkled in like vacation getaways. But guess what? The travel bug bit hard, and I found myself taking longer and more frequent trips. That's when it hit me - the road was calling, and I needed to answer. I made the bold choice to fully embrace the RV lifestyle, rent out my home, and embark on an exhilarating full-time exploration of the United States and Canada.

More to come on that life-changing transition...

But enough about me - I want to hear your story! What fuels your desire for adventure and exploration? Let's connect over our shared love for the open road and the endless possibilities it holds. The journey is just beginning, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next! Safe travels, fellow wanderers!

Happy trails, my friends! 🚐✨
